Pitch Wars 2018 Mentor Bio

Hey, Pitch Wars hopefuls! My name is Erin Foster Hartley, and I’m excited to be a Pitch Wars YA mentor! I’ll be mentoring this year’s TeenPit winner, Breeny, which means I will not be open to submissions this year. (Click here to learn more info about Teen Pit.)

I’m excited to be working with my teen mentee Breeny and her YA contemporary novel that follows three Black Muslim teens the summer before their senior year. You can follow her journey via Twitter or her website.

Though I won’t be accepting submissions this year, I will be haunting the hashtag and maybe offering a few query or first pages critiques on Twitter here and there. Feel free to follow me @EFHartley. I was a Pitch Wars mentor in 2017, and a mentee in ‘14 and ‘15, so if you have any questions about the process from either end, I’d be happy to answer them.

Enjoy the rest of the mentor blog hop and welcome to the wonderful Pitch Wars community. Even if you don’t get in, the opportunity to meet and interact with so many like-minded, talented writers is one of the things I love most about this contest!
